Specific Experience/Skill Requirements:
Computer skills: Email, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required
CAD: 3D part modeling, Pro-Engineer preferred, 2D – AutoCAD preferred
GD&T knowledge and familiarity. Ability to read drawings required.
Statistical analysis of process data.
Engineering experience in fast paced production environment.
Troubleshooting capability of complex problems to identify root cause.
Hands on capability in investigating problems and developing countermeasures.
Knowledge of material properties preferred.
Knowledge of casting processes and dies preferred.
Knowledge of CNC machining preferred.
General Skill Requirements:
Ability to lead a team in problem solving and countermeasure implementation.
Good communication skills. Written, presentation and interpersonal.
Proven ability to lead multiple complex tasks simultaneously to successful result.
Proven self-starter. Able to recognize problems and take initiative to solve.
Responsibilities:
Lead Root cause investigation and analysis on process & quality related issues. Develop countermeasures and implement.
Support Production, Maintenance, and Die maintenance in process & quality investigation and improvement activity.
Act as window person for customer quality issues.
Lead quality improvement trials, update quality documentation as necessary.
Support daily quality issue investigation and resolution.
Lead cost reduction activity for responsible area.
Education:
BS degree in Engineering, ABET accreditation preferred, or Equivalent engineering experience in High Pressure Die Casting
