Body Project Manager

Description of Responsibilities:

Managing new equipment installation, working with general contractor, making bid specification and organize meeting

Construction project lead/coordination of Body Weld equipment installations, relocations and

demolition at North American auto manufacturing plants

Work closely with equipment project lead to coordinate construction activities and maintain project schedule

Rating construction contractor performance on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Environmental

Create project estimates, scope, bid packages, schedules

Coordinating, organizing, planning and prioritizing work with multiple contractors to maintain schedule/budget

Ability to fab up small parts, use small tools, grinder, lathe etc.

Working with plant maintenance and kaizen shop

Qualifications/ Skills:

Required:

5-10 years’ experience

Experience in the construction trades

Strong background in construction project management

Safety management experience

Problem solving, time management, technical communication

Strong skills to work around unplanned problems, Maintain a safety work environment during all activities

Ability to work weekends, holiday and off shifts as typical work is conducted on non-production times

Home-based in Princeton, IN with mandatory dispatch to other North American facilities to support if needed

Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project skills a must!

 

Additional desired

Technical school or equivalent experience

Previous automotive safety or construction experience

AutoCAD familiarity is preferred

Education Level: 2- 4 years of college

Major: Technical

Amount of Travel: 30%
